En Peonía, Nebulosa despliega un solo territorio: 16 metros de tela que comienzan en blanco, se cargan de pigmento y se convierten en un atuendo, como si la energía fluyera entre cada parte del textil. La tela se pinta, se transforma, se expone, se activa.
La obra opera como instalación y como prenda de vestir. Tres metros se convierten en un atuendo llevado por un modelo que pone en cuerpo la tela. El resto queda suspendido: pendiendo de guayas, con hilos torcidos que se funden con la materia, flotando entre líneas tensadas.
Inspirada en la Nebulosa de Peonía —uno de los lugares más luminosos del universo conocido, donde nacen estrellas sin pausa—, la obra propone una lógica: la creación como ciclo constante, el movimiento como motor. Nada en esta pieza está quieto. Ni la tela. Ni el cuerpo. Ni la luz.
Peonía propone un sistema de capas, densidades y recorridos, donde la materia se organiza por sí sola. No explica. No encierra. Sencillamente flota y fluye, como la danza entre el cuerpo y la tela.

In Peonía, Nebulosa unfolds a single territory: 16 meters of fabric that begin in white, become saturated with pigment, and eventually transform into a garment—as if energy were flowing through every part of the textile. The fabric is painted, transformed, exposed, and activated.
The artwork functions both as an installation and a wearable piece. Three meters become a garment, worn by a model who brings the textile to life through the body. The rest is suspended: hanging from steel cables, with twisted threads merging into the fabric, floating between stretched lines.
Inspired by the Peony Nebula—one of the brightest known regions of the universe, where stars are born without pause—the piece follows a similar logic: creation as a constant cycle, movement as a driving force. Nothing in this work remains still. Not the fabric. Not the body. Not the light.
Peonía proposes a system of layers, densities, and trajectories, where matter organizes itself. It doesn’t explain. It doesn’t contain. It simply floats and flows—like the dance between the body and the wearable art piece.

EN LA ETIQUETA

¿Qué pasaría si la etiqueta fuera el centro de la prenda y no solo una “etiqueta”?
En esta instalación, Nebulosa pone en escena una pieza completamente rastreable, narrada desde el hilo. Una maxi etiqueta ocupa el lugar central: no como complemento, sino como manifiesto.
La obra cuestiona la opacidad del sistema moda y propone otra lógica: una en la que el recorrido importa tanto como el resultado. En la etiqueta se detalla todo: desde la materia prima —lana de una oveja específica en la región de Sutatausa, Cundinamarca, en las montañas de Colombia— pasando por la esquila, el hilado manual, la tinturación con pigmentos naturales (frijol negro, eucalipto, arracacha), hasta la confección. Todo está ahí: las manos, los kilómetros, el tiempo.
El suéter, como objeto, es apenas una parte. Lo esencial es lo que lo construye. Más de tres años de proceso, desde el nacimiento del animal hasta que esta prenda pudo ponerse sobre un cuerpo.
Nebulosa plantea una serie de preguntas:
¿Y si toda nuestra ropa fuera igual de trazable?
¿Vestiríamos distinto? ¿Qué la haría más única?
¿Podría incluso funcionar como una forma de valor?
¿Como una moneda? ¿O mejor como archivo? ¿Un legado?
¿Un idioma?

ON THE TAG

What if the tag was the center of the garment and not just a “tag”?
In this installation, Nebulosa stages a fully traceable piece, narrated thread by thread. A maxi tag takes center stage—not as a complement, but as a manifesto.
The work questions the opacity of the fashion system and proposes a different logic: one in which the journey matters as much as the result. The label details everything: from the raw material—wool from a specific sheep in the region of Sutatausa, Cundinamarca, in the mountains of Colombia—to the shearing, hand spinning, natural dyeing (with black bean, eucalyptus, and arracacha), and finally, the making of the garment. Everything is there: the hands, the distances, the time.
The sweater, as an object, is only a part. What truly matters is what builds it. More than three years of process, from the birth of the animal to the moment this garment could be worn.
Nebulosa poses a series of questions:
What if all our clothing were just as traceable?
Would we wear it differently? What would make it more unique?
Could it even function as a form of value?
As currency? As archive? As legacy?
As language?

DUNE DREAMS

Desde muy joven, Nebulosa ha sentido una atracción profunda por los territorios vivos: espacios rústicos que sobreviven por sí solos, impulsados por su propia energía y ecosistema. En algún momento, el Desierto de la Tatacoa apareció en su mente. Y tiempo después, allí estaba.
Bajo el sol ardiente del desierto, Nebulosa pintó una obra de 100 metros cuadrados sobre textil de fibra natural. El objetivo: traducir lo que sus ojos ven y su cuerpo percibe. Los colores. Las texturas. Los naranjas. Los azules. Los amarillos. La vibración de ese lugar.
La obra no termina en el plano del paisaje. De ella nacen también piezas de arte para vestir —prendas únicas, cada una parte de un rompecabezas mayor. El textil como extensión del entorno. El cuerpo como soporte del territorio.
DUNE DREAMS es una obra que fusiona paisaje y gesto. Cada centímetro de tela lleva consigo la energía del lugar. No imita: absorbe. No representa: se convierte.

Since a young age, Nebulosa has felt a deep connection to living territories — raw, self-sustaining spaces driven by their own energy and ecosystems. One day, the Tatacoa Desert came to mind. And not long after, he was there.
Under the desert’s blazing sun, Nebulosa painted a 100-square-meter piece on natural fiber textile. The goal: to translate what his eyes saw and what his body felt. The colors. The textures. The oranges. The blues. The yellows. The vibration of that place.
But the work doesn’t end as a landscape. From it also emerged wearable art pieces — unique garments, each part of a larger puzzle. Textile as an extension of the land. The body as a vessel for territory.
DUNE DREAMS is a work that fuses landscape and gesture. Every centimeter of fabric carries the energy of the place. It doesn’t imitate — it absorbs. It doesn’t represent — it becomes.

CAMPO DE TULIPANES

En 2020, en plena pandemia, Nebulosa inicia una exploración sobre la naturaleza y su lugar dentro de nuestra sociedad, en un momento de pausa forzada y de replanteamiento colectivo sobre la forma en la que estábamos viviendo.
En medio del caos y la incertidumbre del momento, la obra propone un gesto de observación y cuidado. Sobre un textil de aproximadamente 170 metros cuadrados, se construye un campo de tulipanes donde cada trazo y cada pasada de herramienta deja una huella consciente. El proceso se vuelve tan importante como la imagen: capas, repeticiones y variaciones que remiten al trabajo paciente de un campo real.
La escala de la obra exige la presencia del cuerpo. No puede ser observada desde un solo punto ni abordada de manera frontal: se camina y se recorre. En una de las imágenes, Nebulosa aparece dentro del campo, utilizando el cuerpo como unidad de medida frente a un textil que, por su dimensión, se comporta más como un territorio que como una superficie.
La relación entre el formato y la imagen no es casual. Así como un campo real no se percibe en su totalidad desde un solo lugar, la obra se construye y se comprende desde el desplazamiento, evidenciando cómo un textil de gran formato puede operar bajo la misma lógica espacial de un paisaje.

TULIP FIELD

In 2020, during the height of the pandemic, Nebulosa began an exploration of nature and its place within society, at a moment marked by forced pause and collective reflection on how we were living.
Amid the chaos and uncertainty of that time, the work proposes a gesture of observation and care. On a textile surface of approximately 170 square meters, a field of tulips is constructed, where each brushstroke and each pass of a tool leaves a deliberate trace. The process becomes as meaningful as the image itself: layers, repetitions, and subtle variations that echo the patient, sustained labor of a real field.
The scale of the work demands bodily presence. It cannot be perceived from a single point of view or approached frontally; it must be walked through and physically experienced. In one of the images, Nebulosa appears within the field, using his body as a unit of measurement against a textile that, due to its scale, behaves more like territory than surface.
The relationship between format and image is no coincidence. Just like a real field, which cannot be fully seen from a single perspective, the piece is built and understood through movement—revealing how a large-scale textile can operate under the same spatial logic as a landscape.

Proveniente de la misma línea de investigación sobre naturaleza que dio origen a Tulip Field, esta obra propone una lectura cruda y directa de la selva como sistema visual. A través de capas de color, densidad y forma, Nebulosa plasma un ecosistema donde ríos ocultos, raíces densas y animales casi invisibles conviven bajo una lógica autónoma.

Interpreta el ritmo húmedo, la energía vibrante y los espíritus latentes que sostienen la vida selvática. Una pintura extendida que se comporta como territorio.
